His Majesty's personal contribution: The Mabroom dates
This year, since 16 years ago (since 1992), Muslims in Brunei Darussalam receive dates from His Majesty’s personal contribution (Kurma Kurnia Peribadi KDYMM). Each Muslim, regardless of age and citizenship, is entitled to receive 300 grammes of Mabroom dates packed in a small plastic container. The dates are meant for breaking the fast during Ramadan.
A total of 128.5 metric tonnes of Mabroom dates are supplied by Al Madinah Al Munawarah Dates Company, Arab Saudi are distributed to all Muslims in Negara Brunei Darussalam this year.

p/s: Usually I eat 1-2 dates for the sungkai (breaking the fast) and 4-5 dates for the sahur (in addition to the main meal). Dates is good to keep you energize throughout the fasting period. Thank you to His Majesty for his generous contribution since 1992.
