Secubit Imbas Warisan Budaya 2009, Part 1

18th March 2009, Wednesday – Secubit Imbas Warisan Budaya 8 (SIWB) (Literally, in English, A Bit Flashback to Cultural Heritage) was held at Sekolah Vokasional Nakhoda Ragam, Lambak Kanan on 15th March 2009, Sunday, in conjunction with National Day Silver Jubilee celebration. The theme of this year SIWB was “Warisan Budaya Menjana Kedewasaan Bernegara” (Cultural Heritage Matures Us As A Nation).

SIWB was organised by Primary Schools Section, Department of Schools, and hosted by Jawatankuasa Pemimpin Sekolah Rendah (Primary Schools Leaders Committee) (JASPER) Brunei II area.

The Guest of Honour of this year SIWB was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohd Taib, Minister of Education. In his speech, YB Pehin stressed the of students participation in co-curriculum activities.

The objective of SIWB are to celebrate our National Day and to give opportunity to school leaders throughout Brunei Darussalam to showcase our heritage to the present generation.
