Attending A Public Lecture on Japanese Pop Culture at UBD

15th March 2009, Sunday – Yesterday, I attended a public lecture on Japanese pop culture. The lecture was held at the Senate Room, Chancellor Hall of University Brunei Darussalam (UBD) on 14th March 2009, Saturday at 2.00pm. It was jointly organized by the Embassy of Japan, The Japan Foundation, and The Language Centre of UBD.

There were 2 topics of lecture. The first topic entitled “Nationalism and Sport in Contemprory Japan” was delivered by Prof. Yoshino Kosaku, from Sophia University of Japan. And, the second topic entitled “Media Globalization and Trans-Asian Cultural Dialogue” was delivered by Prof. Iwabuchi Koichi (Waseda University).
