Road Safety Choir Competition for Primary Schools 2009: Stage 1 Session 1

12th May 2009, Tuesday--This year Private Education Institution Section of the Ministry of Education and Brunei Shell Petroleum Company are organising Road Safety Choir Competition for Primary Schools 2009. The theme is "Pendidikan Keselamatan Jalan Raya" (Road Safety Education).

There are 11 private primary schools and 42 government primary schools participate the competition. Each participating school must sent a group of lower primary pupils and at least one of them from every level. The competition is divided into 3 stages: Stage 1, Stage 2 (Semi Final), and Stage 3 (The Final). The Stage 1 was held from today at 8.30am and at 2.30 until tomorrow at 8.30am and at 2.30pm. The venue is at Multi-Purpose Hall of Sekolah Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.

The result of the Stage 1 will be announced on 16th May 2009, Saturday. Stage 2 (Semi Final) will be held on 20th May 2009 and the Final is on 30th May 2009, Saturday (*Subject to change). The venue for the Semi-Final and Final will be held at Multi-Purpose Hall of Sekolah Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.

My school, Sekolah Rendah Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (SRTLDB), also participated the competition. SRTLDB presented our choir team  this morning.  The title of our song is "Jiwa Kita Selamat" (Our Lives Are Safe)...And we are waiting the result to be announced this Saturday.
